What makes video games nowadays so addictive? Many people ask themselves this question, and many come up with different answers. The one that you will here most often is that it is the social aspect of video games that make ir so addicting. Ask any person around the world if they have ever played a game on facebook, or if they own some sort of console or gaming computer, most of them will say yes. Now ask them if they have played this game for the competition, whether it may be among friends or against players all around the world, I can almost guarantee  all of them will say yes. Earning trophies and achievements and sharing them with friends makes playing and beating games all the more enjoyable.  Mobile gaming apps like Words With Friends and Castleville allow you to interact with others on a regular basis – even if you’re separated by several states or continents.  For many, being able to connect with others via the virtual world is almost as good as the real thing. On the consoles such as Xbox 360 or Ps3, you are able to connect to people from all over the world at any given moment of the day. Personally I enjoy speaking with someone from Europe via Xbox Live while we are both playing Call of Duty. Being able to do this has enticed many gamers because this technology to be able to connect to someone that fast and make a new friend who is halfway across the world all because you have the same game choice as someone else is absolutely mind-blowing. However releasing games across the world has not always been around. Many games used to just be released locally because it took around 2 to 3 more months of coding to be able to release a game that was made in America in Japan. Thanks to developers realizing that games were globalizing however this process became much easier over the years. The reason why it was so difficult is because before, game developers  never really would look at how successful a game would be in another country due to its content, for example even in today's age games still get banned in other countries for many reasons, but as times changed developers seen what other audiences would enjoy and began to release games that people will enjoy. So go and play a couple games, whether it may be via a console, phone, laptop, or tablet go play and connect with other people and join what is the revolution of gaming if you are not already a part of it.
